About Us

Welcome to the Central Texas Girls High School Lacrosse League (C-TGHSLL) website.

The TGHSLL is the governing body for women's lacrosse teams at the high school level in Texas and Northwest Louisiana. The league is comprised of 42 Varsity programs, and another 6 JV only developing programs. The league includes both public and private schools and has experienced steady growth over the last decade, adding 15 Varsity programs since the 2001 season.

The primary mission of the TGHSLL is to grow the sport and maintain the integrity of the league, providing a level playing field on which teams can compete and determine a state champion. The foundation of the league is its by-laws, which establish rules for team and player eligibility, while striving to provide opportunities for all young women who would like to play lacrosse in Texas and Louisiana.

The League is divided into three districts. The North District covers the Dallas, Fort Worth, and Shreveport LA. Areas. The Central District covers the Austin and San Antonio areas. The South District covers Houston and surrounding area. Each District is further divided into two divisions based on relative competitiveness, with league champions determined for each division at the annual league championship tournament.
